JD is a 3 handicap, he played in the Massachusetts Mid-Am Qualifier* and played in the AJGA events when he was younger in California.
What's important most of all is that I'm authentic when it comes to the sport. From style (clothes), clubs, relatability, socially and skill wise I thoroughly enjoy the game. I can go out and "play with the guys" but also enjoy playing in a competitive atmosphere. I'm also up-to-date with content related to the PGA Tour (players, tournaments, etc).
I have a background in golf from a retail side as well. From picking up range balls to selling clubs/working in the pro shop, I understand the culture. I know how to talk to people and because of my experience in radio, I know how to endorse products to my audience. With golf I don't have to fake it, people know it's what I love to do.
My humor/banter is relatable to every person who's played the sport or knows someone who does. The enjoyment I get from the game translates to the content I create around it.
